PROVIDENCE, R.I. – It was announced on Monday, Oct. 21 that Providence College senior
Kimberley May (Auckland, New Zealand) was named BIG EAST Cross Country Female Athlete of the Week. May earned the honor after capturing the individual title at the Princeton Fall Classic at the Meadows Campus at Princeton University on Friday, October 18.
May, a four-time All-American, won the race in a time of 19:16.3 and defeated the 2023 BIG EAST individual champion Chloe Scrimgeour of Georgetown (second, 19:23.3). May helped the No. 10 Friar women's team place second of 22 teams (65 points) overall.
The Friars will return to action on Friday, October 25 at the Central Connecticut State University Mini Meet in New Britain, Conn. at 3:00 p.m.
