Men's Hockey Adds Roger McQueen To The 2025-26 Roster

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College men's hockey has added forward Roger McQueen (Saskatoon, Sask.) to the 2025-26 roster after his signing of an athletic aid agreement to attend the College. Selected by the Anaheim Ducks in the first round with the 10th overall pick of the 2025 NHL Draft, McQueen becomes the first top-10 draft pick and sixth overall first-round pick in program history.

Men's Hockey Adds Julius Sumpf To The 2025-26 Roster

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College men's hockey has added forward Julius Sumpf (Munich, Germany) to the 2025-26 roster after his signing of an athletic aid agreement to attend the College. Sumpf joins the Friars after a two-year career with the Moncton Wildcats of the QMJHL and was drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks in the fourth round (98th overall) in the 2025 NHL Draft.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Providence College commit Everett Baldwin (Providence, R.I.) was selected on day two of the 2025 NHL Draft held at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California on Saturday, June 28. Baldwin was selected by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the fifth round (151st overall).

Men's And Women's Hockey Teams Combine For 34 Hockey East All-Academic Team Selections

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College men's and women's hockey programs combined for a total of 34 Hockey East All-Academic Team honorees as announced by the Hockey East Association on Wednesday (June 25). A total of 424 student-athletes earned All-Academic Team recognition after achieving at least a 3.0 grade-point average in each of the academic periods of the 2024-25 season.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Friar men's hockey has added defenseman Quinn Mantei (Weyburn, Sask.) to the 2025-26 roster after he signed an athletic aid agreement to attend Providence College. Mantei joins the Friars after a four-year career with the Brandon Wheat Kings of the WHL.

Men's Hockey Adds Kale McCallum To The 2025-26 Roster

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College men's hockey has announced the signing of Kale McCallum (Fredericton, N.B.) to an athletic aid agreement beginning in the 2025-26 season. He'll have two years of eligibility remaining. McCallum spent the last three seasons with the University of New Brunswick (USports) after a four-year career in the QMJHL with Saint John and Val-d'Or.
