PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College women's hockey senior
Hannah Johnson (Readfield, Maine) has been named the Hockey East Best Defensive Forward for the 2024-25 season, the league announced Wednesday, Feb. 26.
Johnson recorded 11 goals and 18 assists for 29 points in 34 regular-season games. She registered nine multi-point performances and ranked second on the team with a +18 rating. Johnson also excelled in the faceoff circle, winning 356 draws at a 54.1 percent success rate—second most among all Hockey East players. She is the second Friar to receive the award, joining Sara Hjalmarsson '22, '23G (2022-23).
