PROVIDENCE, R.I. –
Audrey Knapp (Stevens Point, Wis.) of the Providence College women's hockey team was named Hockey East Player of the Week on Monday, Feb. 3 for the first time this season.
Knapp led the Friars over the weekend with five goals, including a hat trick and game-winning goal. On Friday, Jan. 31, she recorded her first career hat trick in a 3-2 overtime victory against the University of Maine. She followed up with a two-goal performance on Saturday, Feb. 1, in a 4-3 overtime win over the University of New Hampshire. With points in both games, Knapp extended her point streak to four games.
Knapp leads the Friars in goals this season with 16 and has recorded 11 assists for a total of 27 points, ranking second on the team. Her 16 goals are tied for the most among all Hockey East players. In conference play, she has 12 goals, which ranks second overall.

Providence will return to action next weekend on the road in Worcester, Mass at Holy Cross on Friday, Feb 7 at 6:00 p.m. and then in Boston, Mass. on Saturday, Feb. 8 at 3:00 p.m. against Boston University.
