NICEVILLE, Fla. – Global Sports announced its tournament field and game matchups for the second annual Emerald Coast Classic today [June 17]. The Providence College women's basketball team will be one of eight teams competing in the tournament scheduled for Nov. 24-25. The event will be held at Raider Arena on the campus of Northwest Florida State College in Niceville, Fla.
The Friars will compete in the Bay Bracket along with Mississippi State, Middle Tennessee State and Alcorn State. Providence will face Middle Tennessee in its first game, scheduled for Monday, Nov. 24 at 12:00 p.m. (ET). Mississippi State and Alcorn State will follow at 2:30 p.m. (ET).
The third-place game will be played at 12:00 p.m. (ET) on Tuesday, Nov. 25 with the championship game scheduled for 2:30 p.m. (ET).
The Beach Bracket will feature Nebraska, Purdue Fort Wayne, Virginia and Northwestern State.
