Men's And Women's Hockey Teams Combine For 34 Hockey East All-Academic Team Selections

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College men's and women's hockey programs combined for a total of 34 Hockey East All-Academic Team honorees as announced by the Hockey East Association on Wednesday (June 25). A total of 424 student-athletes earned All-Academic Team recognition after achieving at least a 3.0 grade-point average in each of the academic periods of the 2024-25 season.

The men's hockey team featured 13 honorees, while the women's squad garnered 21 selections. Brooke Becker (Orchard Park, N.Y.) earned the accolades in all five years at Providence. Nick Poisson (Vancouver, B.C.) and Chase Yoder (Fairview, Texas) were named Distinguished Scholars after achieving at least a 3.0 grade-point average in each semester of four varsity seasons. Forward Hannah Johnson (Readfield, Maine) and defenseman Lily Hendrikson (Edina, Minn.) were named as Top Scholar-Athletes after achieving a perfect 4.0 GPA in 2024-25 while also being named to the All-Academic All-Star Team.

Additionally, Zachary Borgiel (Fort Gratiot, Mich.) was named as an AHCA DI All-American Scholars on the men's side while Becker, Hendrikson, Johnson, Reichen Kirchmair (Oakville, Ontario), Audrey Knapp (Stevens Point, Wis.), Kayla Kutes (Kirkland, Wa.), Lily Martinson (Allen, Texas) and Millie Sirum (Oslo, Norway) earned the distinction on the women's side.
