Providence College Finishes 87th In Learfield Directors Cup Final Standings

Friars rank third among BIG EAST institutions and fifth among NCAA Division I-AAA schools.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College finished 87th in the final standings of the 2024-25 Learfield Directors Cup. Providence finished inside the top-100 for the second-straight year and 17th time overall since the program began in 1993-94.
The Friars rank third among BIG EAST Conference institutions, trailing only UConn (404.00 points) and Georgetown (389.20 points), while Villanova (214.50 points) and Creighton (198.00 points) rounded out the top five in the BIG EAST Conference.
Additionally, Providence College ranks fifth among NCAA Division I-AAA schools. Denver finished first among DI-AAA institutions with 404.25 points, followed by Boston University (314.50), Pepperdine (295.00) and UC Santa Barbara (235.00)
Providence College finished the year with 227.50 points. The Friars registered 135.00 points during the fall by virtue of impressive postseason performances by the women's cross country team (85 points) and the men's soccer team (50 points). Providence picked up an additional 47.00 points via the women's indoor track and field program and 25.00 points from the men's ice hockey team's NCAA appearance. Providence wrapped up the spring with 20.5 points via women's outdoor track and field.
