LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Providence College commit Everett Baldwin (Providence, R.I.) was selected on day two of the 2025 NHL Draft held at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California on Saturday, June 28. Baldwin was selected by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the fifth round (151st overall).
Baldwin, a 6-foot, 174-pound right-shot defenseman appeared in 78 games over three seasons at St. George's School (R.I.) while totaling 63 points on 18 goals and 45 assists over that span. Baldwin appeared in five games with the U.S. National Team Development Program in 2024-25 as well as two games with the Cedar Rapid Roughriders (USHL). He also appeared in the 2025 Chipotle All-American Game, which featured the top U.S. draft-eligible prospects. Baldwin was drafted by the Saint John Sea Dogs in the second round (38th overall) of the QMJHL Draft and was ranked 118th in the NHL Central Scouting rankings for North American skaters entering the NHL Draft.
Baldwin is the second Friar to be drafted by the Lightning, joining Max Crozier (4th Round, 2019).
