Malik Henry is entering his first season as graduate manager for the Friar men’s basketball program.
In his graduate manager role, Henry assists with organizing team travel, managing practice logistics, and supporting individual player development both on and off the court. He also develops scouting reports and film breakdowns to help prepare athletes for upcoming opponents and improve team strategy.
Prior to joining the Friars, Henry was a member of George Mason University’s men’s basketball team from 2020-24. He played for Head Coach Kim English during the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons at GMU. During his tenure with the team, he was a three-time member of the Atlantic 10 Conference Honor Roll.
He spent the 2024-25 season playing for UNC Greensboro where he helped lead the team to a 20-12 mark overall and a 13-5 record in the SoCon. He played in 31 games and averaged 5.5 points and 4.4 rebounds.
While a student at George Mason, Henry was a marketing assistant with George Mason University Athletics, where he helped with the marketing efforts for various George Mason athletic events.
Henry, a native of Longview, Texas, graduated from George Mason University in 2024 with a degree in Leadership and Organizational Development.
