Thibaut Tagnon enters his first season as graduate manager for the Friar men’s basketball program.
Prior to joining the Friars, Tagnon was a coaching volunteer with the Texas Legends, the G-League affiliate of the Dallas Mavericks. In his role, Tagnon created player comparison videos, participated in the scout team, assisted in player workouts and aided the operations team during pre and post games.
Tagnon attended and played college basketball at the University of Texas at Dallas from 2021-24, helping the team to a 55-25 record across four years. In his junior year, he averaged six points and three assists per game as he helped the team capture the American Southwest Conference title.
He was also a graduate assistant for the University of Texas at Dallas men’s basketball program for the 2024-25 season. His duties included preparing opponent scouting reports, leading player workouts and film sessions and coordinating team meals.
While at the University of Texas at Dallas, Tagnon completed two financial asset management summer internships. In the summer of 2023, Tagnon interned for Credit Mutual Bank in Paris, France, and in the summer of 2024, he interned for the Teacher Retirement System of Texas in Austin, Texas.
