Friar Swimmers Fall to Connecticut

STORRS, CT - The Providence College men's and women's swim teams fell to Connecticut in Storrs, Ct. The men lost by the score of 151-73 and the women lost, 130-73.

Leading the men's squad was senior Jed Michnowicz who grabbed a first place in the 500 free with a time of 4:49.22 and senior Kevin Kosiorek who won the 100 breast with a time of 1:05.81. The Friar 200 free relay team also captured first place with a time of 1:30.27.

The women's squad was led by senior Carla Clemente who won the 100 back (1:01.09) and 50 free (25:42.) Also capturing first place honors were freshman Allison Buckley in the 500 free (5:26.79) and junior Amanda Burke who captured the 100 breast (1:12.21).

The men fall to 0-2 while the women fall to 1-1.
