Friar Swimmers Fall to UNH

PROVIDENCE, RI - The Friar swimmers returned to action against UNH on Saturday, January 16 in Providence, RI. The Lady Friars fell to the Wildcats, 135-92 while the Friar men lost, 151-80.

Senior Jed Michnowicz just keeps impressing his opponents as he swam for record times again while capturing the 200 meter free (1:56.12)and 400 meter free (4:04.44). Also capturing first place honors for the men were Sean Connell (200 back) and Kevin Reeder (200 fly).

For the Lady Friars, senior Carla Clemente chalked up a win in the 200 back (2:26.14) and Lori Cosman won the 200 free (2:10.27).

The 400 relay free for both teams earned first place victory as the women finished in a time of 4:06.85 and the men recorded a 3:42.06 time.

The teams travel to the University of Maine on Saturday, January 23 to take on the Black Bears.
