Friar Swimmers Sink Fairfield

PROVIDENCE, RI - The Providence College men's and women's swim teams defeated Fairfield University on Saturday afternoon in Taylor Natatorium. The Friar men defeated the Stags, 137-66 while the Friar women defeated the Lady Stags, 137-98.
Leading the men's squad was senior Jed Michnowicz who grabbed a first place in the 100 and 200 free and 100 back. Senior Kevin Kosiorek won the 200 IM and 100 breast while junior Kevin Reeder took first in the 100 fly.
The women's squad was led by senior Carla Clemente who won the 100 back and 50 free. Also capturing first place honors were freshman Allison Buckley in the 800 free, freshman Lauren Degray in the 200 free, sophomore Lori Cosman took honors in the 200 IM while junior diver Andrea Liporace won the I and 3 meter diving.
The men improve to 1-2 while the women improve to 2-1.
