Men's Swimming Falls to Georgetown, 136-92

Providence, R.I.......The Providence College Swimming and Diving team was defeated by Georgetown University, in college swimming action, on January, 29, at Washington, D.C. The men's team fell 136-92, while the women's squad dropped a 131-104 decision.
Junior Lori Cosman (Newburgh, N.Y.) paced the women's squad, capturing victories in the 100 meter freestyle (55:15) and the 200 meter freestyle (1:59:86). The 200 meter relay team of Cosman, Maggie Singler (Maplewood, N.J.), Kate Fuller (Staten Island, N.Y.) and Lee Barnum (Hyde Park, N.Y.)captured the relay in a time of1:43:38. With the loss, the squad falls to 4-3 on the season.
On the men's side, freshman Tom Darrow (Cranston, R.I.) captured the 200 meter breast stroke in a time (2:31:89). Junior diver Adam Letourneau (Milford, Mass.) grabbed second place in the both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events. The team's record now stands at 1-6 on the season.
Both teams will return to action on February 5, versus Vermont, at Taylor Natatorium.
