Men's & Women's Swimming Defeated By Holy Cross

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The Providence College men's and women's swimming and diving teams were swept in a dual meet with Holy Cross on Saturday, November 18 at PC's Taylor Natatorium.
The Crusaders' men's team won, 121-120, while the Holy Cross women's team earned a 129-114 win.
The Providence men's team won six individual events and the 400 meter medley relay. Earning wins for the Friars were sophomore Mike Bien (50 meter free - 25.01), senior Adam Letourneau (1 meter dive), sophomore Tom Darrow (200 meter back stroke - 2:24.57), junior Mike Maloney (1 meter dive) and junior Keith Chobot (200 meter breast stroke).
On the women's side, PC earned wins in six individual events and the 400 meter medley relay. Senior Lori Cosman, junior Ally Buckley and freshman Kathryn Donovan were PC's top swimmers, winning two events each. Cosman captured the 50 meter free (27.81) and the 100 meter free (1:00.71). Buckley won the 800 meter free (9:39.33) and the 200 meter back stroke (2:31.53). Donovan won the 200 meter free (2:12.71) and the 400 meter free (4:40.26).
The Friar men's and women's teams will return to action on December 1-2 at the Harold Anderson Invitational
