PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Swin Cash scored 17 points as No. 1 Connecticut closed the regular season with a 102-68 victory over Providence on Tuesday night.
Connecticut, which won the Big East regular-season title for a seventh straight season, finished 16-0 in conference play and is 27-1 overall. The Huskies will be the top seed in the Big East tournament, which begins Saturday in Storrs.
Shea Ralph added 15 points, Tamika Williams had 14, Kelly Schumacher 12 and Asjha Jones 11.
The Huskies, who missed 17 of their first 22 shots, led just 20-19 with 10:01 left in the first half when Williams entered the game. She scored nine points as Connecticut went on a 23-9 run to take a 43-28 lead just before the break.
Meghan Hinds led Providence (10-16, 5-11) with 15 points, and Dani Trippany and Monika Roberts each had 12. Providence has lost 10 of its last 11 games.
The victory was Connecticut's 13th straight over Providence. The Huskies are 120-4 in Big East regular-season play in the last seven seasons.
