FAIRFIELD, Conn. - The Providence College tennis team finished seventh out of eight teams totaling 36 points at the 2005 New England Championships held this past weekend at Fairfield University.

Sophomore Kate Lyons (Barrington, R.I.) posted the best PC outing as she finished third at the No. 6 singles position.

In doubles action, the freshman tandem of Meghan Gilroy (Fairfield, Conn.) and Ashley Rissolo (Southport, Conn.) fared well as they finished second.
