Providence head coach Tim Welsh - Maine

Opening statement: "To allow 45 points in the first half is unacceptable. I don't care who we are playing. The second half was a world of a difference. We had great pressure and played much better defense. Offensively, we had a good flow all night and we were good in transition. It is always nice when you can stretch the defense."

On the win: "This is a good win and we shot the ball well tonight. We have had a tough stretch over the past couple days. Now we just have to get our guys ready for finals."

On what needs to be improved upon during the 10 day break: "We need to continue to build confidence with the bench and keep sharpening the defense. We can't expect to score 94 points in BIG EAST games."
