The Providence College Swimming & Diving teams fell to Fairfield University on Saturday, November 3 in Providence, R.I. The women swam to a 168-132 deficit, while the men dropped the 165-133 decision.
Leading the way for the Friars was junior Blair Flynn (Middletown, R.I.). Flynn captured numerous events on the day, including the 50-meter freestyle (29.00), the 100-meter freestyle (1:01.57), 100-meter butterfly (1:10.00), and the 400-meter freestyle relay (4:14.51). Carrie Lamb (New Paltz, N.Y.), Alexis Fatigati (New Milford, N.J.), and Courtney Larcom (Morristown, N.J.) were also members of the first place relay team with Flynn.
The Friars only get a short rest, as both the men's and women's team are back in action Sunday, November 4 at Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Mass. The meet is scheduled to begin at noon.
