Providence Swimming and Diving Awards Announced

Providence, R.I. - The Swimming and Diving 2006-07 awards were recently announced at the end of the year banquet. Freshman Tim Reilly (Floral Park, N.Y.) was awarded the Horace Bowden Award and senior Katelyn Flynn (Sinking Spring, Pa.) was awarded the Cindi Luciani Award. These two awards honor the men's and women's Most Valuable Student-Athletes in dual and championship meet competition. The Most Improved Athlete Award went to Nick Trilla on the men's team and senior Emily Corcoran (Haverhill, Mass.) on the women's team. The David Hardy Coach's Award was given to seniors Annie Nemeth (Pittsburgh, Pa.) and Tom McLoughlin (Leonardo, N.J.). Junior Kellie Ryan (Dracut, Mass.) was awarded the Sears Diving Award, for the second year in a row. The Freshman of the year award was given to Tim Reilly on the men's side and Carrie Lamb on the women's side.
