KINGSTON, R.I. - The Providence College women's swimming and diving team swam against the University of Rhode Island in a Pink Out meet on Wednesday, Nov. 10 in Kingston, R.I. The Friars were fell to the Rams, 156-104.
Sophomore Sophia Forneris (New York, N.Y.) came in first place in the 500y freestyle with a time of 5:22.88. Freshman Hayley McClure (West Hartford, Conn.) finished first in the 50y butterfly (27.70). The Friars also came in first place in the 200y freestyle relay (1:42.81) which included Junior Kelly Quinn (Garden City, N.Y.), Junior Mary McKenna (Wethersfield, Conn.), Forneris, and Senior Reilly O'Connell (West Barnstable, Mass.).
Freshman Maddie Snow (Bethany, Conn.) placed second in the 200y freestyle (2:01.25), Freshman Paige DeLago (Norwalk, Conn.) finished second in the 100y butterfly (1:01.69), and Freshman Kaylie O'Connell (Stoneham, Mass.) finished second in the 100y IM (1:05.21)
Sophomore Kendall Jerzyk (Madison, Conn.) took first place in the 1m dive with a score of 243.90.
Providence College takes on the Coast Guard Academy in Providence, R.I. at Taylor Natatorium on Friday Nov. 13.
