Dance Team Set To Host Nationals Sendoff

The Providence College Dance team will be hosting their Nationals Sendoff on Tuesday, April 3rd, 2018. The Sendoff will take place in Alumni Hall, and the doors will open at 7:00 p.m. The event is free to all spectators, but the team will be accepting donations at the door.

The Dance team will start by performing their Jazz routine at 7:10 p.m. There will then be a brief intermission before the ladies return to the floor at 7:25 p.m. to perform their Hip-Hop routine.

The team leaves for Daytona Beach, Fla. on Wednesday, April 4th, where they will compete against the other top dance teams in the country at the National Dance Alliance (NDA) National Championships. Providence took 7th in the nation last year in Division I Jazz, and they are competing in Hip-Hop for the first time this year.

NDA Nationals Schedule

The team goes on at 2:36 p.m. on Thursday, April 5th, to perform in the preliminary Jazz round in the Peabody Auditorium. If they advance to Finals, they will perform at the Ocean Center on Friday afternoon. Performance time TBD.

Following Jazz, the Friar's Hip-Hop preliminary performance will take place at 7:19 p.m. on Friday, April 6th at the Ocean Center. If they advance to finals, they will perform at the Band Shell on Saturday morning. Performance time TBD.
