PROVIDENCE, R.I. - On Monday, October 16, the Providence College Athletic Department held its biennial Student-Athlete Career Night. The event was made possible through the generous support of Mark Mandell and Yvette Boisclair '84 who have sponsored the event since its inception in 2008.Â
 Â
More than 95 student-athletes, including juniors, seniors, and graduate students attended the event, which was held in '64 Hall. The night began with a message from Mark Mandell. He spoke about the importance of being humble and said that the true measure of wealth is what you are able to do to help others.Â
 Â
The keynote speaker at the event was Chris Riccobono, a 2001 graduate of Providence College and former tennis student-athlete. Chris is the CEO/Founder of UNTUCKit and Greatness Wins apparel brands. A valued member of the PC Community, he and his wife Amy (Parillo) '03 have established the Riccobono Academic Resilience Faculty Fellowship Mini Grants Program which supports faculty members wishing to incorporate mental health elements and strategies into their courses and raise awareness and understanding of the challenges posted by anxiety and depression. The program aims to improve academic resilience – the ability to perform well academically despite challenging life experiences and stress. Â
 Â
Following the speaking program, student-athletes enjoyed dinner and had the opportunity to network with professionals from various industries including education, finance, real estate, insurance, health care, law, marketing, medicine, and sports administration.  The event concluded with a thank you from the student-athletes in attendance from senior Bella Carrozza, a finance and marketing major and member of the field hockey program. Â
"The Mandell-Boisclair Student-Athlete Career Night has always been one of my favorite events," said Vice President/Director of Athletics Steve Napolillo. "It is a significant event that allows our student-athletes to prepare for their next steps in life after Friartown. I want to thank all our student-athletes, alumni, and friends who participated in this great event. I am grateful to Mark and Yvette for their continual support of PC Athletics. Their generosity is helping to transform lives."Â
