Harold Starks Promoted To Associate AD For Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College Athletics has announced the promotion of Harold Starks to Associate Athletic Director for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion on Tuesday (July 18).
"I am excited to announce Harold's promotion to Associate Athletic Director for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion," Athletics Director Steve Napolillo said. "Harold was a great student-athlete and he has been a valuable member of the Friar family for many years. He will bring insight, leadership and vision to our senior management team. I also believe that he will help the coaches, the student-athletes and the staff to navigate through challenges and issues, which will enable us to become a better organization."
In his new role, Starks will work with the Office of Institutional Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and the Student-Athlete Development Team to provide comprehensive DEI education for student-athletes, athletic department staff and coaches. He will also provide leadership in the department and across the BIG EAST and NCAA in developing strategies that advance the overall goals of diversity, equity and inclusion.
Starks served as the Coordinator for Mentoring and Athletic Alumni Relations for the men's and women's basketball programs at Providence College since 2011 and worked in the Office of Institutional Advancement from 2008-11. A 1986 graduate of Providence, Starks was a four-year member of the men's basketball program and served as team captain during his final season.
