PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College men's and women's indoor track teams will travel to Boston, Mass. for the 2025 BU Terrier Classic. The two-day event will be held at the Boston University Track and Tennis Center and will be streamed live on FloSports. The women will compete on Friday, Jan. 31, beginning at 10:30 a.m. The men will compete the following day on Saturday, Feb. 1, beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Leading the Friar women will be senior Kimberley May (Auckland, New Zealand).  May, a five-time All-American, is set to compete in the 3,000 meters.  She ran a personal best time of 8:54.16 in the 3,000 at the BU Season Opener on December 2, 2023.  Graduate student Alex Millard (Kent, England) will compete in the 5,000 meters.  This marks her first season of collegiate indoor competition.  She has a personal record of 15:18.15 in the 5,000 meters.  Fellow graduate student Shannon Flockhart (Longstanton, England), a six-time All-American, will compete in the mile.  Last winter, she ran a personal best time of 4:30.83 in the mile at the Terrier Classic. Joining Flockhart in the mile are sophomore Keira Hall (Christchurch, New Zealand) and junior Cara Laverty (Derry, Ireland). Making her indoor season debut will be Maeve O'Neill (Cork, Ireland).  She will toe the line in the 500 meters. Also racing this weekend will be Jill Fenerty (Franklin, Mass.) and Chloe Higgins (Morristown, N.J.) in the 400 meters.

Competing for the men's team will be graduate student Pat Thygesen (Brisbane, Australia) and senior Michael Morgan (Silgo, Ireland) in the 3,000 meters.  Morgan and Thygesen each ran a PR at the Valentine Invitational last year.  Morgan ran a PR of 7:56.01 and Thygesen ran a 7:57.82.  Also leading the Friar men will be graduate student Liam Back (New Plymouth, New Zealand), who is set to compete in the 5,000 meters.  He has a PR of 13:39.75 in the 5,000. Senior Brett Lehman (Lower Gwynedd, Pa.) will be competing in the 400 meters for the Friars.  He set the Providence indoor 400 meter record earlier in the month when he ran a time of 48.41 at the UMass Flagship Invitational.  Sophomore Jon Mignacca (Seekonk, Mass.) will compete in the High Jump.  His jump of 2.05 meters at Holy Cross last spring is a Providence College record.
