BOSTON, Mass. – The Providence College men's and women's track teams competed at the IC4A/ECAC Championships on Saturday, March 8 and Sunday, March 9 at the Boston University Track and Tennis Center in Boston, Mass.
On the men's side, sophomore William Johnston (Auckland, New Zealand) finished second in the mile with a time of 4:10.12. Sophomore
Tyler Bartlett (Fairfield, Conn.) placed sixth, crossing the line in 4:11.48.
Senior
Brett Lehman (East Greenwich, R.I.) posted a personal-best time of 1:03.70 in the 500 meters, finishing second. His time now ranks third all-time in program history. Freshman
Thomas Hunt (Berkeley Heights, N.J.) placed seventh in the event with a time of 1:05.16.
In the 800-meter finals, freshman Tom Breen (Providence, R.I.) placed third with a time of 1:52.19.
Freshman
Liam O'Neill (Natick, Mass.) set a personal-best time of 2:29.31 in the 1,000 meters, placing seventh overall.
In the high jump, sophomore
Jon Mignacca (Seekonk, Mass.) cleared 1.93 meters to finish seventh.
On the women's side, sophomore
Shea Podbelski (Norton, Mass.) placed fifth in the 1,000-meter finals, setting a personal-best time of 2:55.38.
In the 800 meters, sophomore
Polly Bogdan (Rochester, N.Y.) recorded a time of 2:13.07, placing seventh.
