VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The Providence College women's track team competed on Day 2 at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday, March 15. The Championships are being held at the Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia Beach, Va.
Senior
Kimberley May (Auckland, New Zealand) and graduate student
Shannon Flockhart (Longstanton, England) both ran the 3,000 meters. May placed sixth in a time of 9:03.51. She was two seconds behind the winner Ceili McCabe of West Virginia (9:01.18). Flockhart placed 15
th (9:12.33). For their efforts, May and Flockhart earned All-America honors. May was a First Team All-American and Flockhart was a Second Team All-American. Each runner also was named First Team All-America on Friday night when the PC DMR team earned a third-place finish.
