PROVIDENCE, RI – Providence College's annual day of giving, Friars Give, is set to take place on Thursday, April 10. This year, the theme aims to unlock doors of opportunity to create life-changing experiences for Providence College student-athletes. To give on April 10th, click here. Below are some areas that you could help fund.
Donating to Varsity Athletics will help support traditional areas of programming needs, including academic resources, nutrition, travel, equipment and cutting-edge technology for training and high performance. Each of these areas prepare our student-athletes for success both on and off the field.
In anticipation of revenue-sharing, an opportunity for colleges and universities to share revenue with student-athletes, we are accepting contributions. Donations can be directed to any sport, including men's basketball, women's basketball and men's ice hockey. This funding will provide critical support and ensure these programs thrive in the ever-evolving landscape of college athletics and the era of Name, Image and Likeness (NIL).
As part of Friars Give, Athletic Director Steve Napolillo has announced the Director of Athletics' Giving Challenge, an exciting initiative to enhance alumni participation and maximize the impact of donations to sport-specific programs. The top-three athletic programs with the highest alumni participation rate will unlock an additional $30,000 in support:
