PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College junior midfielder
Bo Martina (Nieuw Vennep, Netherlands) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for field hockey on September 16. It marked her first appearance of the season on honor roll, and fourth of her career.
Martina scored a goal in each of the Friars' games last week. She tallied the first goal of the day in what proved to be the game-winner in a 4-0 victory against Bryant (Sept. 12). She tallied her second goal of the week in a 4-3 overtime loss to New Hampshire on Sept. 14.
Martina, a unanimous selection to the 2025 Preseason All-BIG EAST Team, currently ranks second on the team in points (eight) and first in goals scored (four) through five games. Last season, Martina tallied a career-best 18 points on five goals and eight assists (17 games). She was tabbed as a All-BIG EAST First Team selection and NFHCA Division I All-Northeast Region First Team selection.
The Friars are slated to open BIG EAST Conference play on Friday, Sept. 19 against Old Dominion. The match is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. at Lennon Family Field in Providence, R.I.
