NOTES

- For the second-straight night, Blake Zielinski (Berlin, N.J.) opened the scoring as he potted his second collegiate goal 4:17 into the second period. Sophomore Julius Sumpf (Munich, Germany) flipped the puck out from the defensive zone to classmate Jonathan Fauchon (Sainte-Claire, Quebec), who carried it into the offensive end. After being knocked off the puck in the high slot, Zielinski corralled the puck and wristed a shot inside the right post.

- Less than six minutes later, freshman Ryder Cali (Penetanguishene, Ontario) doubled the PC lead with the team's fourth power-play goal of the season. Junior John Mustard (Oradell, N.J.) sent a shot on goal from the right circle that was kicked out by the pad of Soderwall. Sumpf collected the rebound and slid the puck to Cali, who was parked at the left post and chipped the puck up under the bar and in.

- Junior Cade Christianson (Edmonton, Alberta) pushed the lead to 3-0 just 53 seconds later. The Penn State transfer took a pass from sophomore Beau Jeslma (Brownsville, Ontario) and beat Soderwall with a wrister from the left circle. Junior Aleski Kivioja (Espoo, Finland) was credited with the secondary assist on Christianson's first as a Friar.

- Junior Will Elger (Westerville, Ohio) capped the scoring at 11:04 of the second with his first goal of the season. Sophomore Quinn Mantei (Weyburn, Saskatoon) sent the puck towards the net from the left point that found senior Tanner Adams (Northport, N.Y.) at the left post. Adams' low shot was knocked away, but Elger pounced on the loose puck and poked it just past the skate of Soderwall and inside the right post at 11:04.

- With the win, the Friars ran their win streak against the Golden Knights to five.

- With his two assists tonight, Sumpf completed the weekend six assists overall through two games.

- Parsons recorded his third career shutout after turning away all 25 shots he faced on the evening.
