Young, a former four-star prospect in the Class of 2023, spent the last three seasons at Ole Miss.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College women's basketball Head Coach Erin Batth announced today [April 21] that J'Adore Young (Mauldin, S.C.) has signed an athletic aid agreement to attend Providence in 2026-27.

"We are excited to add J'Adore to our program," Batth said. "She has great size and athleticism and will impact the game on both ends of the floor. Offensively, she has good touch around the rim with the ability to shoot the mid-range jumper and run the floor in transition. Defensively, she can guard multiple positions and is a solid shot blocker and rebounder."

Young, a 6-4 center/forward, spent the previous three years at Ole Miss, where she played just seven games as a freshman in 2023-24 before sitting out the sophomore campaign with an injury (2024-25). She returned to the court for the 2025-26 season as a red-shirt sophomore and played 29 games for the Rebels, including one appearance in the starting line-up. Young was recognized as a SEC Academic Honor Roll selection during her time at Ole Miss and was named to the 2026 SEC Community Service Team.

Prior to college, Young was a stand-out player at Greenville High School in Greenville, S.C. She averaged 18.5 points, 13.9 rebounds, 6.7 blocks and 1.7 steals during the 2021-22 campaign. According to Prep Girls Hoops, she was ranked the No. 3 high school player in South Carolina and was rated as a four-star prospect and ranked No. 99 in the country by ESPN HoopGurlz for the Class of 2023. Young was a two-time All-State selection and played club basketball for A'ja Wilson Elite.
