Swimming & Diving Program Announces Team Award Winners

Ten student-athletes were honored as the team celebrated the 2025-26 season.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College swimming & diving teams announced their 2025-26 award winners on April 23 during the program's annual season-ending team dinner. Ten student-athletes claimed team awards as the school year draws to a close.
Junior Bella Lombard '27 was the recipient of The Luciani Award. Named for Cindi Luciani '91, this award honors the women's Most Valuable Student-Athlete in dual and championship meet competition as voted by team members and coaching staff.Â
Freshman Jake Stachowicz '29 was the recipient of The Bowden Award. Named for Horace Bowden '89, this award honors the men's Most Valuable Student-Athlete in dual and championship meet competition, as voted by the coaching staff and team members.
Freshmen Myranda Parker '29  and Ivan Reber '29 were recognized as the O'Neill Family Award recipients. Established in 2008 and named for Head Coach John O'Neill, the O'Neill Family Award honors the most valuable male and female freshmen athletes in meet competitions, as voted on by the team and coaching staff.Â
Junior Rory Sheridan '27 was recognized with the Clara Lamore Walker Award, and senior Nico Menendez-Featherston '26 took home the Jan and Brian Larkin Award. These awards recognize the female and male athletes who have improved the most during the season, as voted on by the team and coaching staff.
The Hardy Award went to three student-athletes – Elizabeth Burke '27, Natalia Robak '27 and Quinn Schwab '27. Named for David Hardy '89, this award honors the male and female student-athletes who exhibit those qualities which Hardy brought to the swimming and diving team: loyalty, dedication, good sportsmanship and outstanding effort in the pool and in the classroom.Â
Kara Dixon '26 claimed the Sears Award. Named for Patrick Sears '88 and Kevin Sears '93, this award honors the diver, who selected by the coaching staff, made an outstanding contribution to the sport of diving at Providence College.
Dixon also was the recipient of The Greg Lamoreaux Award, which is named in honor of the late Greg Lamoreaux, father of former Friar swimmer Kelly Lamoreaux '13. The award recognizes a senior member (or members) of the program who raised the most funds to support Swim Across America and made a significant fundraising impact.
