Men's Hockey Announces 2026-27 Schedule

The regular season schedule is highlighted by a return trip to Belfast, Northern Ireland for the 2026 Friendship Four.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College men's hockey program unveiled its 2026-27 schedule on Wednesday (July 22). The 34-game regular season slate features a return trip to Belfast, Northern Ireland for the 2026 Friendship Four – featuring Minnesota Duluth, UConn and Colgate.
 
After a home exhibition contest against Stonehill (Oct. 2), the Friars open the regular season with a pair of home games against St. Lawrence (Oct. 9) and Clarkson (Oct. 10). Providence travels to Union (Oct. 16) before opening Hockey East play in a home-and-home series against UMass Lowell (Oct. 23-24). The month of October concludes with a rematch of last season's NCAA Sioux Falls Regional matchup as the Friars pay a visit to Quinnipiac on Oct. 31.
 
A trio of Hockey East series to open the month of November as the Friars will battle UConn (Nov. 5, 7), Merrimack (Nov. 13-14) and UMass (Nov. 19, 21) in home-and-home series. Providence will open up the 2026 Friendship Four against Minnesota Duluth at The O2 Belfast on Nov. 27, followed up with a matchup against either UConn or Colgate on Nov. 28. The Friars previously finished as the runner-up at the 2017 Friendship Four.
 
The first half wraps up with a pair of single Hockey East weekends at Vermont (Dec. 5) and at home against New Hampshire (Dec. 11).
 
St. Thomas makes its first-ever visit to Providence to open 2027 for a two-game series from Jan. 1-2. January continues with a two-game road series at Maine (Jan. 8-9), home-and-home series against Boston College (Jan. 15-16) and Boston University (Jan. 22-23), followed by a single home game against Maine (Jan. 30).
 
The Friars conclude their non-conference slate early in February with the Mayor's Cup game at home against Brown (Feb. 2) and LIU (Feb. 6). Providence continues its eight-game homestand with two-game series against Vermont (Feb. 12-13) and Northeastern (Feb. 19-20). The regular season concludes with a home-and-home against New Hampshire (Feb. 26-27) and a road contest at UConn (March 4).
