Men's And Women's Hockey Teams Combine For 41 Hockey East All-Academic Team Selections

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College men's and women's hockey programs combined for a total of 41 Hockey East All-Academic Team honorees as announced by the Hockey East Association on Monday (July 6). A total of 429 student-athletes earned All-Academic Team recognition after achieving at least a 3.0 grade-point average in each of the academic periods of the 2025-26 season.

The men's hockey team featured 17 honorees, while the women's squad garnered 24 selections. Four Friars including Reichen Kirchmair (Oakville, Ontario), Kayla Kutes (Kirkland, Wa.), Mégane Quirion (Saint-Eustache, Quebec) and Hope Walinski (Lincoln, R.I.) were named Distinguished Scholars after achieving at least a 3.0 grade-point average in each semester of four varsity seasons. Walinski was also named a Top Scholar-Athlete after achieving a perfect 4.0 GPA in 2025-26 while also being named to the All-Academic All-Star Team.

Additionally, Cristina Cavaliere (Mississauga, Ontario), Mallory Hartl (Askov, Minn.), Emma Hofbauer (Vomperbach, Austria), Kutes, Josie Lang (Stillwater, Minn.), Bella Paolucci (Grosse Pointe Woods, Mich.) and Walinski were named as AHCA DI All-American Scholars.
