Women's Basketball Unveils 2026-27 Non-Conference Schedule

The Friars will open the regular-season on Nov. 3 vs. Stonehill.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College women's basketball program unveiled its 2026-27 non-conference schedule today [July 9]. The schedule consists of one exhibition game and 11 regular-season games. The regular-season opener will be played at Alumni Hall in Providence, R.I. on Tuesday, Nov. 3 against Stonehill. Fans will get their first look at the 2026-27 team on Thursday, Oct. 29 when Providence hosts Southern New Hampshire University in an exhibition game.
Eight of the Friars' 12 games on the schedule, including the exhibition, will be played at home in Alumni Hall / Mullaney Gymnasium in Providence, R.I. In addition to facing SNHU in the exhibition game and Stonehill in the season opener, the Friars also will host UMass (Saturday, Nov. 7), Bryant (Wednesday, Nov. 11), Northeastern (Tuesday, Nov. 17), 2026 NCAA Division I national runner-up South Carolina (Saturday, Nov. 21), New Hampshire (Tuesday, Nov. 24) and UMass Lowell (Saturday, Dec. 12).
Providence's first road test of the season will come against Boston College on Saturday, Nov. 14 at Conte Forum in Chestnut Hill, Mass.
The Friars will travel to San Juan, Puerto Rico to play two games in the 2026 Puerto Rico Clásico on November 26 and November 27. The tournament match-ups and schedule will be released in late July-early August.
Providence will complete its non-conference road schedule with a match-up against intrastate rival Rhode Island on Monday, Dec. 7. The game will be played at the Ryan Center in Kingston, R.I.
Tip-off times and broadcast information will be released at a later date.
