Danielle Slominski Joins Providence College Women’s Hockey Staff As An Assistant Coach

Slominski was most recently an assistant coach and director of hockey operations for Vermont the last two seasons.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College women's ice hockey Interim Head Coach Nicole Norton announced today [Sept. 21] that Danielle Slominski has joined her staff as an assistant coach. Slominski spent the last two seasons at the University of Vermont, where she served as an assistant coach and director of hockey operations.
"Dani's tremendous passion for coaching and developing players really stood out to us," Interim Head Coach Nicole Norton said. "She brings great energy, a strong work ethic and a genuine commitment to helping our players grow. We're excited for the immediate impact she'll have on our program."
Prior to her time at Vermont, Slominski served as an assistant coach at Oswego State during the 2023-24 season. She helped guide the Lakers to a 14-11-1 record. Before joining Oswego State, Slominski was a volunteer assistant coach with the New Ulm (Minn.) girls high school hockey program. During her time with New Ulm, she helped the Eagles finish second in the Big South Conference and reach the conference championship game for the fifth consecutive season. She also helped four graduating seniors earn college commitments during the 2023-24 season.
A native of Becker, Minn., Slominski played collegiately at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire from 2018-22. A defenseman, she appeared in 65 games and recorded 21 points on 12 goals and nine assists while posting a plus-30 rating. During her senior season in 2021-22, Slominski recorded career highs in goals (seven) and assists (seven) in 28 games while posting a plus-14 rating. She helped the Blugolds reach the NCAA Tournament twice during her career.
