Rosemary Hamsley enters her first year working as the basketball performance nutritionist at Providence College.  In her role, she works with the men’s and women’s basketball teams, serving as the primary sports dietitian.
 
Prior to arriving at Providence, Hamsley worked as a registered dietitian fellow at the University of Tennessee.  She was responsible for serving as the primary sports dietitian for men’s and women’s golf, rowing and the spirit squads.  She also was the secondary dietitian for the men’s and women’s basketball teams, including being the sole dietitian during team travel.
 
Hamsley also served in several other roles at the University of Tennessee from August 2022 to January 2025 as a graduate research assistant and a sports nutrition intern.  Her duties included assisting with the day-to-day operations of the football and Olympic fueling stations, the practice and game fueling and hydration efforts, the coordination of catering and inventory management.
 
She earned her bachelor’s degree in nutrition from Austin Peay University in 2017.  Hamsley also received a master’s degree in exercise science from the University of Tennessee in 2020 and a master’s degree in nutrition from Tennessee in 2025.
