Eric Burtchell began his career as the associate athletic director of external operations and major gifts officer in October of 2022. Â
He works with all 19 Friar Athletic programs to fundraise for strategic needs, manage athletic alumni events, steward and engage former Friar athletes, and manage season ticket holder relations to cultivate a donor base. Â
Prior to his current position at Providence College, Burtchell most recently served as Director of Fundraising and Donor Engagement at Mustard Seed Communities (2021-22). He also worked at Bishop Feehan High School as director of the annual fund (2018-20), and at the Boy Scouts of America as senior district executive (2013-17). Â
Burtchell graduated from Providence College in 2013 with a Bachelor’s degree in philosophy. Â
Burchell is originally from Pawtucket, Rhode Island, where he became an Eagle Scout in 2009. Â
