Gianna Detorie started as a marketing and promotions graduate assistant in summer of 2025. She is pursuing her master of business administration and sport management certificate at PC. She assists in planning and executing marketing strategies across all varsity sports. She also serves as the primary marketing contact for women’s basketball and secondary contact for the men’s basketball team. Her tasks include directing game-day operations, overseeing and assisting media operations, and managing on-court promotions at Amica Mutual Pavilion.
Detorie attended the University of Scranton and graduated in 2025 with a bachelor of science in marketing, with a minor in business analytics. She was a member of the Omega Beta Sigma Honor Society, Mu Kapp Tau Honor Society, and made appearances on the Dean’s List.
During her undergraduate studies she also interned at Rev’d Fitness as a marketing intern in 2024, assisting in the execution of campaigns and planning of off site and in-studio events. In 2023, she was a sports intern for WPRI Channel 12. In this position she interviewed players and coaches at various sporting events, wrote news scripts, and edited nightly sportscasts.
