Patrick Johnson joined the Providence College Athletic Marketing Department in September of 2025 as as Coordinator of Marketing and Promotions.
Prior to coming to Providence, Johnson worked for two years in the Army West Point Athletics Department as the Assistant Director of Marketing and Fan Engagement. In his role, Johnson ran the marketing and fan engagement efforts for the hockey, women's lacrosse, and wrestling programs. He also oversaw the department's kids club program, Black Knight Buddies, and marketing internship program.
Johnson began his career in athletics an External Affairs Graduate Assistant with Canisius University Athletics for two years where he oversaw the marketing and game presentation efforts for the hockey program and other sports. He was also the department's liaison with the school's three spirit squad programs and student section. In addition, Johnson was part of the 2022-23 Canisius hockey team that went to the 2023 NCAA Frozen Four First Round Regionals and worked the 2022 March Madness First and Second rounds.
During his time as a student at the University of Northern Iowa he was an athletics marketing intern for two years and then became the Athletic Marketing Assistant where executed marketing efforts for the UNI volleyball, softball, and women's basketball programs.
Johnson graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing and a minor in Sport Administration from the University of Northern Iowa in 2020 and graduated with his Masters of Science in Sport Administration from Canisius University in 2023.
Johnson is originally from Tonka Bay, Minn.
