PC vs. QUINNIPIAC COLLEGE AT PROVIDENCE COLLEGE -- Tuesday, October 26 - 2:00 p.m. at Glay Field
Quinnipiac College (5-11) - The Braves enter Tuesday's game with a 2-6 record in the Northeast Conference, having dropped their last two decisions. On October 22, Qunnipiac lost at Monmouth, 3-1. On October 24, they lost at Fairleigh Dickinson, 1-0. Quinnipiac has an all-time record of 0-1-0 versus Providence, with their only meeting coming in 1983. On offense, Qunnipiac is led by freshman midfielder Paul Dworak (Cromwell, Conn.) who has tallied five goals in 16 games. Dworak led the Braves to a 4-0 win versus Stony Brook on October 9 as he recorded his first three career goals. Junior goalkeeper James Ryan (New Haven, Conn.) has started every game in goal for Qunnipiac this season. Ryan has posted a record of 5-11-0 in 16 games with a 2.04 goals against average and a .730 save percentage.
Providence College (5-8-1) - The Friars posted a 1-1 record last week. On October 17, PC was defeated by St. John's, 2-1, at Glay Field. Providence posted its fourth BIG EAST win of the season with a 3-1 victory at Georgetown on October 23. PC last faced Quinnipiac in 1983 when the Friars came away with a 5-0 victory in the only meeting in the two schools' history. Junior forward Kevin Jones (Westford, Mass.) has been the key to the Friars' offense this season as he has recorded a team-high 17 points (seven goals, three assists). Sophomore goalkeeper Danny Glynn (Manchester, England) has seen the majority of the action in net this season for PC. In 11 games, he has recorded a 3-6 mark, a 2.20 goals against average and a .667 save percentage.
