Danny Glynn Named BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Providence College sophomore goalkeeper Danny Glynn of Manchester, England earned BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week honors on Monday, November 1.

Glynn earned the BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week honor after making six saves and posting his second shutout of the season in PC's 1-0 BIG EAST win against Seton Hall on October 31 at Providence, R.I. The win over Seton Hall enabled the Friars to keep their hopes alive for a berth in the BIG EAST Playoffs. Glynn, who is in his first season with Providence after transferring from Fairfield, has posted a 1.95 goals against average and a .758 save percentage this year.

Providence, which has registered a 7-8-1 overall record and a 5-6 mark in BIG EAST play, will close out its regular season on Tuesday, November 2 at Dartmouth.
