CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -- Virginia defeated Providence College, 2-0, in men's soccer action on Sunday, October 29 in Charlottesville, Va.

Virginia took a quick 1-0 lead as Steve Totten chipped in a shot from eight yards out just 1:20 into the game. The Cavaliers netted their second goal of the game at 62:50 when Jacob LeBlanc blasted a shot past Friar netminder Danny Glynn.

Glynn recorded seven stops for PC. Virginia goalkeeper David Comfort made two saves in the win.

With the victory, Virginia raised its record to 12-4-1 overall, while Providence fell to 4-12-1 overall.

Providence College returns to action for its final game of the season on Tuesday, October 31 against Dartmouth at PC's Glay Field at 2:00 p.m.
