Women's Track Competes At Boston University Open

The women's indoor track team competed at the Boston University Open on December 2. The Friars were led by senior Joan Bohlke (Old Saybrook, Conn.), sophomore Emer O'Shea (Limerick, Ireland) and junior Kathryn Casserly (Galway, Ireland), who all earned a first-place finish. Bohlke captured the 800 meters in a time of 2:18.16 and O'Shea won the mile in a time of 4:59.83. Casserly won the 3,000 meters in a time of 9:54.71.

Senior Kathy Sutkowski (Edison, N.J.) and senior Rachel Hixson (Media, Pa.) also ran strong races for PC. Sutkowski finished second (2:19.16) in the 800 meters while Hixson placed third in the 3,000 meters (9:55.94).
