WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Georgetown defeated Providence College, 1-0, in men's BIG EAST soccer action on Saturday, September 29 in Washington, D.C.
Hoya senior Kenny Owens (Washington, D.C.) retrieved a rebound and blasted in the only goal of the game at 73:28 to give Georgetown a 1-0 win.
Georgetown junior goalkeeper Brian O'Hagan (St. Louis, Mo.) made five saves in the win. Friar senior goalkeeper Danny Glynn (Manchester, England) recorded four stops.
With the victory, Georgetown raised its record to 4-3-1 overall and 2-1 in BIG EAST action, while Providence fell to 0-6-1 overall and 0-3 in league action.
Providence College returns to action on Tuesday, October 2 against Harvard at PC's Glay Field at 3:00 p.m.
