Torry Gajda Named Hockey East Player of the Week

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Providence College sophomore forward Torry Gajda (Westfield, Mass.) was named Hockey East Player of the Week on Monday, November 17.

Gajda helped lead the Friars to a 7-4 victory over second-ranked New Hampshire on Friday, November 14 at Schneider Arena. The 5-foot-10, 185-pound left wing matched his career-high with two goals and added one assist in the win over UNH. Gajda also tallied one assist in a 3-2 loss against No. 9 UMass on Saturday, November 15.

Gajda currently leads the team in scoring with a career-high 13 points (six goals and seven assists). He is the son of Philomena and Robert Gajda.
