INDIANOLA, Pa. -- The Providence College men's soccer team was defeated by Pittsburgh, 2-0, in BIG EAST action on Sunday, October 31 at Indianola, Pa. Pittsburgh's Billy Brush scored both of the Panther's goals with Dwayne Grant-Higgins assisting one each tally.

Brush registered the first goal of the game in the 15th minute when he took a pass from Grant-Higgins and booted in a shot from 10 yards in front of the net. Three minutes later, the combination of Brush and Grant-Higgins struck again for the Panthers. Brush recieved a pass from Grant-Higgins and shot the ball into an open net at the 17:28 mark.

The Friars pressured in the second half, outshooting the Panthers, 9-2. However, Pittsburgh goalkeeper Justin Lowery made all five of his saves in the final 45 minutes of play to keep the Friars off the scoreboard.

Providence sophomore goalkeeper Chris Konopka (Toms River, N.J.) made four saves in the loss.

Providence will conclude its season on Tuesday, November 2 versus Connecticut at 2:00 p.m. at PC's Glay Field.
