PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- It was announced on Monday, November 14 that the Providence College men's soccer squad was one of 48 teams selected to participate in the NCAA Tournament. The Friars were one of 25 at-large teams selected for the Tournament. The Friars, who will be making their second appearance all-time in the NCAA Tournament, will play at Hofstra on Friday, November 18 at 7:00 p.m. The winner of the PC/Hofstra game will play the No. 4 seed North Carolina Tar Heels in Chapel Hill on Tuesday, November 22.
The Friars, who last appeared in the NCAA Tournament in 1983 (2-0 loss to UConn), have had an incredible season. The Friars have posted a 6-3-9 mark and have recorded one of the most improved records in NCAA history. Last season, PC finished with a 0-16 record.
