Men's and Women's Track Compete At NCAA Regionals

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The Providence College men's and women's track teams competed at the NCAA East Regional Championship in Greensboro, N.C. on Friday, May 26.
The Friars were led by senior Mary Cullen (Sligo, Ireland) who won the 5,000 meters in a time of 15:50.18. By winning the 5,000, she qualified for the NCAA Championship in Sacramento, Calif. on June 7-10. Also in the 5,000, graduate student Aine Hoban (Wakefield, England) placed 16th (16:49.06) and freshman Katie DiCamillo (Garden City, N.Y.) finished 21st (17:02.81).
On the men's side, senior Martin Fagan (Mullingar, Ireland) placed third in the 5,000 meters in a tie of 14:06.19. Fagan also qualified for the NCAA Championship.
On Saturday, May 26, sophomore Max Smith (Dunedin, New Zealand) will run the 1,500 meters at the NCAA East Regional.
