The Friars made history by playing in their first home NCAA Championship match ... Providence improved to 2-4 in the NCAA Championship as they earned their first NCAA Tournament win since 2005 ... The six goals are the most by a Friar team since 1987 ... Overall, Providence has 32 goals this season which is the most by a Friar team since 1986 ... Providence's current 10-game unbeaten streak (8-0-2) is its longest since the 1984 season ... In addition, the 13 wins this season are the most since 2006 squad finished with a 13-7-0 mark ... Senior Matt Marcin and sophomore Wilder Arboleda each recorded their second two-goal performance this season ... Marcin is now tied for fifth all-time at Providence with 22 career goals and seventh with 53 career points ... Senior Toussaint McClure's goal was the first of his career ... Sophomore George Hodge posted his first career assist ... Prior to Saint Peter's, the Friars had not faced a MAAC team since 2000.
